Program Overview
The Community Engagement team at Lutheran Settlement House offers a variety of trainings that draw on your existing experience and knowledge to build new skills for supporting survivors of domestic violence.
Trauma-informed practice and social justice competency are core values of our training team. Our facilitators are ready to dig into the larger dynamics at play around domestic violence and to get real about how racism and systemic oppression impact survivors. Our workshops are experiential, interactive, and social — designed so that participants can learn from each other, not just from us.
There is no cost for STAR workshops for teens. For other trainings, we use a flexible sliding-scale fee, and our goal is to partner with any community that requests training, regardless of budget.
